Understanding Indigenous Australian culture and history enables healthcare providers to build relationships based on trust and understanding with Indigenous patients. Providing care that is culturally safe is paramount for improving Indigenous Health outcomes.

In this session, you will learn about the many differences between different Indigenous people & groups. You will explore the importance of having a good understanding of which tribe or country your patient identifies themselves with and how to conduct yourself in meetings with your patient and their extended family.
