Nursing and Legal Concepts - South Pacific

Keeping you and your patients safe

28 October - 5 November 2017

The legal implications of Nursing practice are a concern to all Nurses.

It's important that as Nurses we understand the legal principles that apply to the delivery of health services. These principles apply to all areas of clinical practice and all geographical locations. So irrespective of your area of practice or where you live this conference is for you.

Dr. Pam Savage

In this conference,  Dr. Pam Savage, Registered Nurse and Barrister (NSW), will explore the key points of the legal principles that underpin Nursing practice.

Pam has an extensive background in clinical nursing, education, and remote area Nursing both in Australia and overseas. As a Lawyer and Clinician, this background is brought to her role as adjunct Lecturer to undergraduate and postgraduate students as well as Aboriginal Health Workers.

Pam is a published author and her book “Law for Student Nurses: applied principles” is now in its third edition.

Understanding these legal principles will keep most of us out of trouble. With the knowledge that you will gain from this conference, you will be able to review your practice and put in place systems that will avoid most of the problems that could come your way.

Join us as we sail the South Pacific and participate in this Master Class Nursing and Legal Concepts Conference on board the fabulous Carnival Spirit.
