Margaret completed her basic Nursing training in the UK (before time began), prior to migrating to Australia. She has worked in all clinical areas during her “nursing life”
Margaret's primary interest was in acute medical Nursing and rehabilitation. She has held the roles of Clinical Nurse Specialist, Nurse Unit Manager in the acute medical setting and Senior Nurse Manager in a rehabilitation and transitional aged care unit.
Margaret's “teaching life” began after retirement and she has taught theoretical components and clinical skills to Certificate III Aged Care workers and Enrolled Nurses both at the Endorsed Enrolled nurse level and at the Diploma of Nursing level.
Margaret's favourite subjects to teach are anatomy and physiology and wound management, both of which she is currently teaching. Margaret continues to work as a Facilitator for the students during clinical placements in the acute and aged care settings.
